Approximately 15 km from Trollnäs you will find yourself in Sundborn where you will be able to visit the home of the Swedish artist Carl Larsson.
Arvid Backlundgården – an artist’s home
Approximately 2,5 km from Trollnäs, in Kyrkbyn, you will find Arvid Backlund’s home. You can tour his old studio and see his many different sculptures that he crafted throughout the years. During summer, they arrange separate exhibitions by other artists, as well as several other activities on certain evenings.
Falun’s Copper Mine
Approximately 25 km from Trollnäs, in Falun, you can visit the Falun Mine, listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Kick bike with Serbian Huskies
Approximately 15km from Trollnäs you will find Below Zero Husky Tours. Ride a kick bike through Dalarna’s spectacular forest, with the help of a lively Serbian Husky. A guide will always drive in front of you, leading the way through the forest.

Isalanäset is a real gem located in the Svärdsjö Region. Although it’s not that big, it offers an exciting and varied nature experience with alternating light deciduous forests, dark coniferous forests, open glades, large blocks and stones and sparkling water.
2 km away from Trollnäs you’ll find Svärdsjö’s Horseback riding club.
The Iron road
Around Svärdsjö there are several old mill sites with connections to Falun’s Copper Mine.
Staberg’s Baroque Garden
Approximately 30 km from Trollnäs you will find Staberg’s baroque Garden, dating back to the the 18th century.
Nysjön’s Cottage embankments
Nysjön’s shacks are one of the few shacks that are still alive, located approximately 20 km from Trollnäs. The barn is beautifully located in the slope towards the lake and on the homestead there are both cows and goats. If you’re lucky, Sole will be there to sell cheese and mese.
Approximately 15 km from Trollnäs you’ll find Below Zero Husky Tours. Enjoy the tranquility and closeness to the wilderness – sitting on a dogsled pulled by a group of eager and happy Serbian Huskies. Behind you there is a guide who steers the sled along the paths of the beautiful forests of Dalarna.
